This is Faith. Author of HaveALittleFaithDaily

If you are reading this it is likely that you have taken the time to explore a bit around the HaveALittleFaithDaily site, and for that I say: Welcome and Thank You! I appreciate you stopping by and am excited to share more about myself so we can get to know each other!

Why did I choose the name ‘HaveALittleFaithDaily‘?

First, and probably foremost, my name is Faith. I am only about 5 feet tall, therefore I am considered by most people to be short. For this reason, the term Little Faith certainly applies to me physically.

Secondly, growing up in a Christian household I heard much about the life-changing power that can come from even the tiniest bit of genuine hope and faith. When I started the blog and social media accounts connected with HaveALittleFaithDaily, my heart was to use the platform to inspire others to find sparks of hope, joy, and faith in their day to day lives by sharing those same moments in my own life.

From the combination of my self-labeling as ‘little Faith’ and the desire to inspire others to have faith in the day to day- the name Have A Little Faith Daily was born!

My Background

I grew up in a rural part of Southern Pennsylvania surrounded by beautiful hiking trails, a community known for both it’s city charm and rich farming heritage. In fact, to an outsider my hometown probably would be a great travel destination. However to those of us who are lucky enough to have started out here, it’s nothing super special.

I was your average American girl who was blessed to grow up in the kind of Christian household that only the best kind of parents can create. We weren’t ever rich, or famous, or anything spectacular but where I come from families stayed in the area and if you were a friendly and caring person you would find yourself plugged into a support network of friends and neighbors so that you always had someone to call on for help.

I knew way back in the 5th grade that my ultimate goal was to become an Elementary Teacher. I was a cheerleader through Elementary and Middle School. I got my first job at age 16, the same year I began dating my now-husband.

I married the only guy I ever kissed. While in college I got engaged, married, delivered our first child, and then was pregnant with our second kiddo when I walked for graduation. My story is very much the cliche small-town girl who settles in real fast and never leaves, right? And it’s awesome!

….Busy. But Awesome!

My Content Inspiration

I am a PA Certified Elementary Teacher who has been a bit pre-occupied with my three beautiful kiddos so I have not yet found my way into a classroom job. It is still my goal and dream to work with kids and in order to follow my heart for educating young students I love to design and bring practical educational activities to you that can enrich your child’s learning.

Consequently, I am also primarily a stay-at-home mom, so I have lots of stuff going on in my bustling house that I am hoping to share with you! My kids are still toddlers and were all born within a span of three years, so I have plenty of activity to share! From family-favorite recipes, to the raw trials and moments of parenting, you can expect honest and open material about my role as a mom.

And finally, I grew up in a loving Christian home, attend a wonderful church, and have found my heart has settled into a faith that belongs fully to Jesus. I struggle with being consistent in nurturing my relationship with God, but you will likely see plenty of my thoughts and revelations as I walk through an ever-growing relationship with God!
