If you’re in search of a simple recipe for chicken that only requires some basic pantry staples and is super easy to make, look no further than Simply Yummy Chicken! A recipe we had frequently growing up & it never failed to hit the spot!
One of the things I like the most about this recipe is the rich zesty flavor. In my experience, many chicken recipes feel like they are one of 3 options:barbecue, creamy, or just bland. I can be picky about the intensity of flavors and I appreciate when a meal can provide really robust and full taste rather than leaving me searching for the flavor. Simply Yummy Chicken is a beautiful vinegary chicken meal that breaks away from the more common chicken tastes and is versatile enough to pair with a variety of sides!
I also love how affordable this meal is! Chances are you already have everything you need in your pantry at home. Just pull out some chicken breasts, mix, and cook! Altogether this meal easily costs me less than $10 even if I double the batch to have plenty of leftovers!

I start with making the marinade sauce up by mixing the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and vinegar. At this stage I often use a spoon or clean fingertip to taste the mixture in case I want to doctor it up or do any tweaking.
Next, I chop up my chicken breasts into chunks close to 1.5 inch cubes. This works best if you can keep the pieces close to even in thickness so they cook evenly. Once I have the meat cut I toss it in the sauce mixture and then pour it into a casserole dish. Next, spread the chicken evenly and melt a few tablespoons of butter. Pour that on top before placing the Simply Yummy Chicken in the oven!
Now you have a little bit of time to get those sides prepared! I just love doing up a simple noodle and vegetable to be paired with this meal! One of my favorite things is to serve buttered noodles and top them with some of the remaining sauce! So, so good!
I hope you enjoy this family favorite! Let me know what you think!!
